Changes In YouTube’s MCN Market
Social Blade announced today that they were leaving a partnership with Maker Studios (recently purchased by Disney) and starting a new partnership with BroadbandTV. Here is what they had to say officially (directly from SocialBlade.com):
Social Blade and BroadbandTVThree years ago, we launched the Social Blade Partner Programthrough an affiliation with Maker Studios. As time progressed, we realized that the needs of our partners were changing, and we found ourselves unable to work with directly with our partners in the capacity that we wanted to. Listening to the valuable feedback of our partners and taking into careful consideration our own experiences over the past few years, we decided that our arrangement wasn’t the best fit. Today we’re excited to announce a newly-formed partnership between Social Blade and leading media company BroadbandTV. Combining the reach and expertise of Social Blade with the technology and infrastructure of BroadbandTV will allow us to serve our partners better, with more exclusive partnership benefits and opportunities for those who give us the privilege of representing them. In fact, we’re so confident in the revamped Social Blade Partner Program, that we’re offering prospective partners a 30-day trial period. If you’re unhappy any time during the first 30 days of your time as a partner with us, just shoot us an email and we’ll be happy to release you. We’re only truly benefiting when our partners are happy. |
We reached out to SocialBlade for comment about a few particulars concerning current partners.
Bruno: “Are current Social Blade partners staying with Maker Studios or leaving with Social Blade to join BroadbandTV?”Social Blade: “Current partners will stay with Maker Studios unless they choose to change over. Social Blade will still be supporting and promoting ‘Legacy’ partners, too.” Bruno: “Will changing over to BroadbandTV from Maker Studios be difficult for current partners?” Social Blade: “If a partner is in a contract with Maker Studios, than that is between the partner and Maker Studios to discuss. We don’t know any information on how hard or easy this process will be.” If you have other questions or concerns regarding this change, please see Social Blade’s official press release or reach out to Social Blade directly via Twitter (@SocialBlade). |
Here at CorporalBruno.com we wish all parties involved good luck on their future endeavors!
